Implant Supported Prosthesis

The implant supported prosthesis are designed and processed for patients with extreme dental decay. In cases of extreme decay, the all of the patients teeth are removed and four to six implants are then placed per arch, depending on bone density. Incisal Technologies specializes in both Hybrid and Locator supported dentures. We also have a CDT that is also licensed as an RDA on staff that has performed each step of the process thousands of times that can walk the Surgeon and Restorative Doctor through each step of the process.

Hybrid dentures are fixed and placed by the dentist. This prosthetic is screwed in place and only dentist has the ability to remove it. It rests solely on the implants.

Locator dentures require two to four implants. This type of prosthesis is tissue and implant born and the patient has the ability to take the prosthesis in and out of their mouth.

Procedure of a hybrid denture:

  1. Patient has initial consultation with the Restorative Dentist and Surgeon

  2. An impression will be taken of the patient's bite for denture fabrication

  3. The acrylic prosthesis can then be customized

  4. On the day of surgery, the existing teeth are removed, implants are placed and the prosthesis is delivered

  5. Follow up appointments with the Surgeon and the Restorative Doctor where the patients bite and healing are checked
  6. The Restorative Doctor will go over maintenance plans for the healing phase
